Vectorization of Internal Data: SourcePanel’s database of IT project work has been converted into vector embeddings
Retrieval Mechanism: Instead of relying solely on a vendor-based Large Language Model (LLM) which has pretrained knowledge only, a retrieval step fetches relevant vectorized SourcePanel data based on a query.
Augmented Generation: The retrieved data is fed into SourcePanel’s selected LLM as context, allowing it to generate more relevant and accurate recommendations and project scope improvements.
Fine-Tuning: SourcePanel also fine-tunes this hybrid approach by extensively testing outputs in our proprietary prompt engineering playground. This allows us to generate highly personalized outputs for our customers and service providers.



We take the skill recommendations output and combine this with an algorithm that assesses the provider’s likely success on the project. This includes historical provider data, current utilization, historical pricing, total resources, location and more.
We then recieve a list of ideal matches and this list is reviewed by one of our humans for actual assignment. In many cases we will make a call or two to verify skill sets and availability of skill sets.



SourcePanel has multiple vendor-direct agreements and two wholesale distribution agreements for IT licensing. The agreements afford SourcePanel with API integrations to real-time special pricing, discount programs, licensing management portals, and more. SourcePanel also receives regular FTP files with updated product numbers, pricing updates and purchasing trends. SourcePanel AI allows us to dynamically obtain the best licensing options for our customers, and then manage that licensing to ensure ongoing optimized licensing.

SourcePanel intelligence allows you to enter SCU numbers, product names, or even types of applications like “CRM” or “web security”. Then SourcePanel’s intelligent licensing module will ask you a few questions and present you with options and best pricing. You can then procure licensing, add on specialized professional services if you like, and deploy or update your licensing. All the while, your IT licensing will be managed and available to you on a dynamic dashboard where you can add or remove seats as needed.
